Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs is a tactical RPG set in a cheerful fantasy world full of weirdness and wonder. Assemble your party, go adventuring, manage your kingdom, make new friends, and defeat your opponents in challenging turn-based combat.
I had a blast playing Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs despite some of its shortcomings. With amusing characters, a relatable story, solid combat, fantastic music and voice acting, and meaningful choices, it's definitely worth checking out. I look forward to seeing Pixelated Milk's next project!
Regalia is just a great game that is worth a shot if you enjoy comedy, great characters and a lighthearted story. Also, if you’re a fan of classic JRPG isometric gameplay, look no further Regalia: of Men and Monarchs.
An engaging and charming tactical RPG with above average visuals and audio and a rich cast of interesting characters. [07/2017, p.64]
A game that can be appreciated by the fans of the tactical RPG genre, even if there are a bit too many bugs and crashes.
Regalia: of Men and Monarchs will give the player the fantasy tactics and base-building experience that its backers demanded, paired with writing that but for a few typos is satisfactory at the very least.
Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs is a light-hearted tactical role-playing game that is easy to learn yet challenging to complete. Even though the combat system and story could have used a bit more depths, the beautiful hand-painted graphics, well-written characters and enjoyable battles makes it is an impressive debut for the studio.
If you're lifting ideas from other games, you should at least try to hit their level of quality, otherwise it's a waste of time and resources. Regalia is a frustratingly simple exercise in micromanagement with colorful characters and passable writing which only seems like a serious strategy game.
