A PSYCHOLOGICAL EXPERIMENT NEVER BEFORE SEEN IN DAYZ!
8 subjects were taken to Prison Island, with no idea what was to happen. 4 were told to assume the roles of ‘guards’, and were told to maintain order. 4 were told to assume the role of prisoners. With limited resources building pressures and deadly diseases, how would you cope under the pressures of being a guard or an inmate?
In homage to the infamous 1971 Stanford Prison Experiment by Zimbardo, we conducted a psychological experiment to see how people would behave when asked to assume certain roles and expectations.
Only those wearing uniforms were subjected to the experiment. All geared persons on the island (5 in total) were moderating or streaming the event because they knew too much about the experiment to be involved without causing a bias. The TS chat allowed these people to remain connected when participants separated.
