Rambo The Video Game is a rail-shooter that puts the player in John Rambo’s combat boots, and takes them on an action packed journey through the iconic combat sequences and story-arcs of FIRST BLOOD , RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD PART II & RAMBO III. Locked and loaded with the trademark Rambo arsenal of weapons, you battle through the boss showdowns and take-downs from the films - everything from Rambo’s evading the police in First Blood, to his single, explosive bow strike on Lieutenant Tay in Rambo First Blood Part II, and on to his shredding Russian helicopters with the DShK 12. 7mm Heavy Machine Gun in Rambo III.
In this classic rail-shooting, arcade adventure you can use the classic Rambo weapon set of a bow, a knife, and guns as you encounter (and create) chaos, carnage and destruction.
Rambo sucks major ass, but the game is actually so bad, that in some crooked way it's good. It's an interactive turd, but the transition from bad action movies to bad action games is as smooth as possible. [Apr 2014]
It’s a B-movie game in every sense, but approach it with sufficiently lowered expectations, and you may just be pleasantly surprised.

Rambo: The Video Game is an awkward, short, ugly and expensive game that tries to generate some nostalgia, but ultimately fails. Instead of spending money on Teyon's creation, it's better to watch the entire game on YouTube, or better yet - watch all the movies. And the best thing to do is: go for a walk, find a video arcade and beat Virtua Cop one more time.
Rambo: The Video Game is indeed "Your worst nightmare." This on-rails shooting gallery looks and plays like a game made by two monkeys. And it doesn’t even turn blue...
The fact that Rambo: The Video Game is being sold for almost full retail price is insulting, not to mention the fact that it feels mostly unfinished and uninspired.
