There is a way to maybe increase your frames by changing one line in your dayz.cfg file
In dayz.cfg (MyDocuments >> Dayz) change the following lines:
Render_W=xxxx
Render_H=xxxx
change them to your desktop resolution (usually w = 1920 h = 1080)
After doing this make dayz.cfg “READ ONLY” and you should find youll get a frame increase in game.
all ready have it set
What are your PC specs
The new renderer is only expected to make a difference in FPS to High-end PCs. They even said they tested the new renderer on a GTX 970
The video comparing 0,59 to 0,60 was made on an identical to mine PC, which is 760gtx+3770. I got an increase in about two times. It’s most notable on mid to top-tier PCs. Low-tier got an increase as well, but it’s not as substantial, as is to be expected. And, well, it’s the first iteration anyway. And a very good first iteration.
Another way of increasing your framerate by a few frames at least is by going to documents\mygames\DayZ and then opening your dayz.cfg with notepad. Change GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1000; to GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1; and GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=0; to GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1; (not sure if this will work with 0.60, but it definitely helps a little for 0.59
