Sorry if there are a million questions like these on the forum, I just was wondering if I would be able to play this game on this laptop.

My specs:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4200M CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.50GHz

Installed memory (RAM): 8GB (7.89GB usable)

System type: 64-bit OS

Dedicated Video Memory: 0MB

Total Available Graphics Memory: 1,792 MB

I appreciate any help with this!

  • No, do not waste your money. The specs you have provided will not run the game.

This game like the ARMA series is very CPU based, and full disclosure, I’m running 8 cores at 3.8GHZ and sometimes get a true lag spike, but a total of like 30 FPS when I’m at ultra ultra. I know people with good laptops that can run it, but be sure that you KNOW you are going to be sacrificing visual fidelity. The game looks VERY good after it’s recent update to DX11 and their new rederer, but it definitely hits the GPU now too. You WILL be able to run the game (It will be VERY difficult because you have your on board graphics chip, but don’t let people tell you that you can’t.)

The biggest thing to remember, that no matter how much you’re for or against how slow the developers are currently being, it’s an awesome game that will only get cooler for as far as it goes, and it WILL end up being $60, so get it for 35/36 now, and at least be happy you gave yourself a little future discount.
