The new central loot economy was a little buggy when introduced, spawning far less loot than intended. Luckily, I was able to play for a few nights during this wonderful time. This was what I experienced.

I won’t be putting out weekly videos yet, but I will endeavour to make a couple a month at least.

  • amen to that i liked the desolate place chernarus became. it took a little longer but my group recovered pretty quickly and made smarter decisions. several of us fell victim to the new zombies but still managed as fresh spawns to survive the harsh environment. most ppl imo came to dayz just for that reason we were tired of games that made it to easy and for those that didnt want it like this maybe dayz isnt the game for you

I could not agree with this video more. I as well played during this time. I had already had a good camp set up in an isolated spot, but it quickly ran out of food, I wandered the nearby towns and found the odd can of food excitedly. Water was not a problem, but I found I started considering for the first time growing food, which like this chap took several attempts to get right. I then tried to find places with good fields of view to spot deer etc..then I’d trek for a while to track them down. It was a tiny bit too hard, but definitely where I wanted to see the game go. Very simply, why have all the cooking and survival mechanics if I can just go grab a can of beans at will. I really, really hope they return to the feel of those few days at some point.
