In Battle Academy 2, players will be able to take command of Soviet and German forces at the tactical level. While this sequel includes everything that made the previous game so absorbing and accessible, it also introduces new features for a deeper and richer strategy experience. With more than 130 units, a brand new skirmish mode, random map generator, 4 single players campaigns, versus and cooperative multiplayer modes and enhanced with new tactical tools, players are bound to fight some unforgettable battles in Mother Russia.
While it shares a significant amount of DNA with the first game, the clever maps, huge unit roster, and brilliant skirmish generator make Battle Academy 2 one of the most entertaining tactical-level wargames on the market today. It’s war without the snore. Don’t miss it.
Battle Academy 2 won't be for everyone. It's not a very attractive game, and the presentation can sometimes leave a little to be desired.
Battle Academy 2 is a very focused wargame; perfect for anyone willing to strategize without spending hours going through text walls in a manual. The graphical quality could be off-putting, but mechanics and gameplay are top-notch and perfectly sound.
Underneath the high entry price and the bad graphics, there's a very good and deep strategy game.
The best feature of the entire experience is the skirmish mode and the way it allows players to customize the coming battle to their expectations.
It's really accessible, and that's a good thing, but for strategy veterans it won't go deep enough on the strategic and management aspects.
