get the devs to release modding support and the game will be better then ever, but the devs are reluctant to discuss the matter and when asked on twitter, you are blocked or just pushed aside by a meaningless comment. With all that money, you gotta ask what are they doing with it…

    Sorry for the bad grammar

dude you cant be so wrong! I listened to the first 60 seconds where you say its basically dead. Its far from dead. I didnt bother listening to the rest of you gabbling on…why? Because itll just be you saying why YOU think its dead…blah blah blah. Sorry not being disrespectful or anything but for a game that has OVER 300,000 players concurrently playing EACH month…where do you get the idea that its dead!

I mean I aint gonna babble on any more as it just isnt worth the additional oxygen wastage…apart from suggesting how about you go play a real survivial game like unturned!

I totally agree, after he said “a game shouldn’t be in early access for three years” I paused. A good game takes YEARS to develop, it feels like it’s taking so long because the dev team allowed the players to basically help make the game. This is something every player should think about, bah.

Most of the BIG titles are in development for anything upto FIVE years…the only difference is they are developed in a closed environment and dont have ANY form of public participation like an open alpha such as dayz. If you look at a typical development path. Alpha can take up to 3 years then a beta anything up to 2 years. These stages are usually performed internally with the developer and if a beta is made public it tends to be towards the end of the entire beta period ie the last 6 or 12 months of the beta period. This guy really does not know the fuck what hes talking about as his head must so far stuck up his arse he doesnt know what year it is let alone what day of the week it is.

WTF are u talking about? Five years is NOT an average time. Just because GTA V was made in 5 years doesn’t mean it’s an average development time… Alpha is by definition a game with most features completed and it should’t take more than a year till beta…If you are really so dumb that you think it’s ok to make a game in FIVE years than… well CONGRATULATIONS. After 5 years the game is going to be outdated with the technology moving forward, especcially concerning a game on a already old engine like DayZ has. I love Dayz, with 1200hrs playtime and 3 years of not much happening in development(except 0.60…) im getting more and more disapointed. Sorry for the grammar but i dont give a f….

You sir dont know what your talking about. How about you ask some of the main studio’s out there how long they have their major titles in development for before they even announce them to the public/release them. You know jack sh%t about anything. As for the “outdated” technology and engine…which planet did you say you came from again? Oh yer thats it…planet cuckoo land! Do you know the average time to even develop a game engine is? Again in some major titles the game engines developed for them has a seperate development path set aside to the rest of the game. You sir also need to go play a REAL open world survival game like unturned and GTFO of dayz!

Says a guy whose got no Point and can only insult others. Better start reading and CHECKING if you are right before you write another BS. The truth is Dayz is losing players and the longer it takes to finish, the more players abandon the game.

DayZ isn’t dead, but it is not far from it. The main problem is that core concepts base building/survival are still far from finished. PvP and looting is mostly what it is about. Truthfully I’m just sick of running around a massive map with Z’s (that are a lot better) but still you just have to run away from them – not a threat. It is yet to be a Zombie survival again….too many other good games coming out – I’ll come back to it more when it’s more ready..

It’s become boring, i’m craving the things you see in Arma 2 DayZ or Arma 3 Exile or any of them mods. This game is just run from the coast, grab military loot, kill. Yeah you can “base build” or find a car and fix it up but then what? The “base building” in the game is so dead, just tents. And cars aren’t good at all. I agree with the idea of including modders; they’d speed stuff up a LOT.

Game has been out for 2 years, 7 months and 23 days (NOT 3 years yet).
Dean Hall took most of the money and made hes own company.

If you didn’t realized in this year of DayZ development they have been going slowly, because they want to release patches with less bugs so people can enjoy gameplay.
