Have to enjoy the view when I’m playing on aftermathdayzrp.com

Its nice to appreciate how pretty the game can be without worrying that someone will sneak up on me and KoS me.

You’re neglecting a very important part of the game. There are so many other single player games out there where you can be nice , safe and cozy not having to worry about other people. Murder (or KOS for those that need to define it differently as if to make it seem like it’s something more than what it is) is as much a part of DayZ as is dealing with loss. By having a no KOS rule, you are removing a very core piece to the DayZ puzzle: Player choice. Who are you to take away my choices in a game made (in part) for that very thing? It’s a disservice to the game, other players and yourself as you’ll never truly get to experience DayZ in all it’s glory. A pity that. While I respect your right to cherry pic the game and only play with the functions you feel work best for you, I will never condone a “NO KOS” server. Who wants to play with people that are afraid of their own shadows anyway?
    P.S. Nice pic.

I play on both a roleplay server and public/private PvP servers. Aftermath is about to launch a second server which will offer PvP zones and will launch with an event which will be very much PvP orientated. (As well as offering both an EU & US server) I like both sides of Dayz, the roleplay side where I know someones not just going to shoot me for no reason at all and the public PvP side. I love the tense side of public but honestly, I find getting into a firefight on a roleplay server far more intense than public, hence the second server I suppose 😀

@badmammajamma Usually communitites like these are filled with people that has experienced dayz in all its glory time and time again and in the end got enough of that same experience over and over again and this is where the RP Communities are great to have for a change of pace. When you wanna develop a character in a certain setting, im sure that even you can see the standard population on public dayz servers just wouldnt allow for it. At the end of the day some of funniest moments of mine in this game has been on whitelisted servers with roleplayers. Of course its not for everyone or even for always, but there is a lot of fun to be had with it and once youre tired of running back into Elektro for the 55th time i can be very appealing. Its a pity that people like you get locked in that whole “no there is only one way that is the right way to play” since you miss out on so many great experiences. While i respect your right to treat the game like its just another CoD clone i will never condone that playstyle, and even on public servers most people find that boring after a short while anyway.

Jesus dude….did you even read what badmammajamma wrote? Doesn’t seem so. Your response in no way addresses anything they said, or you just selfishly ignored it. They are talking about not having the CHOICE to murder on sight. I don’t know about you but I actually read his/her comment, and no where do they say the game SHOULD be played one way. In fact they are arguing the opposite. If you want to hang with the adults, maybe act like one and try using your intellect to express yourself, not your emotions.

I see your point 🙂 Honestly, I have been apart of a few white list communities and they are not all that bad. I just don’t agree with a no murder rule. Juxtaposing the two, I still prefer public. But it’s just that my preference. Nice talking to you 🙂 Good to know there are some on here that can have a adult conversation. Looking at you Ragingdane.

There is no specific way to play a game, only personal preference which is why we are opening another server which will provide people with the chance to ‘murder’ someone the second you see them if you wish to do so whilst providing a roleplay environment. The majority of roleplayers do enjoy the PvP side of DayZ but unfortunately public servers can’t really offer that hence a PvP/roleplay server being available very soon on the community which this screenshot was taken.

    P.P.S.
I enjoy how “pretty” the game is just fine on a regular server. You can do that if you know what you’re doing.
