The 0.45 patch was published on stable branch this week, it brings a great new perspective to the DayZ gameplay by adding animals, hunting, cooking, fireplaces, fishing etc… In the same time developers announced the 0.46 update for the exp branch. What can we expect from this patch? Here is a list of what we already know.


It is finally here! The first grenades are implemented in DayZ: frag grenades but also flashbang which will increase the possibility of strategy in firefights. We can also note the apparition of the MP5K (which can use flashlight and scopes), it will shoot 9mm rounds. The M4 has also a new sound FX.

The most notable changes are focused on the north east airfield, which has been converted into civilian one. There is no more prison building and more industrial buildings have been added. In counter part a new sort of military barracks has been implemented, which can be found just west of the airfield. Also there is now more than 170 spawns available for helicopter crashsites (you’ll find the map below).


Few clothes additions for this patch. Only the Gorka vest and new russian military cap have been added.


Important gameplay mechanics have been fixed. The crashsites smoke is now visible from very far. For snipers, bullet dropping sand has been fixed and also the weapon sway when aiming down sight.
